SCAR Amplification has a new amp in the works, It is called “Series Two” This is the true professional touring amplifier. This is a Dual EL34 based amp that is rated at 60watts RMS enough power and punch to handle any situation built along the lines of the “Series One” yet boasts much more power includes a Gain-Treble-Bass -Mid and a MASTER Volume. Included in the combo is Two 10″ speakers. The amplifier included a Line Out for Recording and an Effects Loop. The Head Unit will include a multiple Tap Outlet for 4-8-16 ohm speakers. This simplicity at its best made to last generations no unneeded gimmicks True Honest Tone and Function. All “Series Two” amplifiers come with a custom made road case. Retail Pricing will be at $1795.

2013 NAMM Show

We had a great show at the NAMM in Anaheim Ca. Thanks to everybody that came by the booth and the artist who performed. The “Series One” was well received and I feel that many dealers will pick up the line and offering a Boutique amplifier that is priced at the $1,395 mark. This is by far the lowest priced hand crafted built in USA amplifier on the market. We are currently working on our next model that will be in the 60 watt area and will allow the Touring Artist the amp of choice. Our current “Series One” will still be the standard to beat for the casual user who wants Honest Tone and Function for recording small gigs and home use. Here are some photos on 2013 NAMM.

I have been working on amplifiers for over 40 years I have come across just about every amplifier ever made, Most of the work I have done was based on the early designs many of them being built Point To Point or assembled on a turret board. This build design was made for easy access to trace and repair, in the past every town had a TV / Radio repair guy who could work on these amplifiers Leo Fender was just this type of guy. Well things have changed with transistors and the miniature parts and the automation the amplifier is built on a PCB board this build Does Not Allow for ease of repair and they are THROW AWAY Amplifiers. Yes if you buy a Fender – Marshall – Orange – Vox amplifier that uses this construction it can be considered a throw away. Point to Point design this is where each component is hand wired to the chassis and is designed to trace and work on also the builds that are done on a turret board. So you can spend thousands on a amplifier and when it goes out of warranty when it goes bad Toss It In The Trash, almost all the amplifiers built in CHINA are built as trash.

I have been repairing amplifiers for many years and I get many amplifiers of all the Major Brands, the newer construction on the PCB board with miniaturized components and chips that were made to toss in the trash when they go bad. Our hand built amplifier components are full sized and placed on a turret board for easy access and replacement. The “Series One” provides a great platform for Mods although this will void the warranty it allows for the customizing the circuit to your own specifications. This amplifier has a built in Ground Seeking system to insure that there is a True Ground Connected, tube guitar amplifier use high voltage that can be dangerous and even fatal if you are electrocuted. This is the Newest Model “The Commando” 50 watt all tube Boutique Amplifier. The Tube Complement is Two EL34s Two 12AX7s and a 6AV6, The amp has a Volume-Bass-Tone and a Master Volume and Clipper with a bypass switch.
